Music Choice Boards for Remote Learning

When my school district first started with remote learning, I created assignments that focused on fundamental music skills like key signatures, rhythms, and etudes along with some enrichment activities. But now that Illinois has recently announced that students will continue with remote learning for the rest of the school year, I’ve shifted my philosophy a bit for the rest of the school year. What's most important is for my students to keep playing their instruments for the remainder of the year. Creating a music choice board can offer your students a variety of playing activities, plus any theory-based or enrichment activities you design. What is the best part about a choice board? It gives students control over their own learning. They don’t have to complete everything, but just a few that interest them the most.
